May is NASCAR season in Charlotte and April is usually spent preparing for May, but this year, it was also spent enjoying something new and different. On April 13 – 15, Charlotte welcomed the NHRA for the 2012 - 4 Wide Nationals. Charlotte Motor Speedway is the home to the ZMAX Dragway, the only 4 wide concrete dragway in the world!

We wanted to congratulate our friends at the Kannapolis Intimidators – our local minor league baseball team on the new partnership for the 2012 season.

Do you remember the first time you attended a race and didn’t know it would take 2 hours to get out of the parking lot after the race? Or remember when you started watching the races on TV and you were not exactly sure which driver to cheer and which to boo?

We had the privilege of having a six-year old NASCAR fanatic on our Ultimate Fan Experience tour last week. His enthusiasm for NASCAR and excitement heading to Bristol was contagious! He asked questions freely and his eyes lit up when the car was cranked – just for him.
